    A Bit More About Archie

Meet Archie – The one bottom toothed wonder & lap dog extraordinaire!

Looking for a snuggle buddy with a big heart and even bigger charm? Meet Archie,  a sweet English Bulldog with a love for snacks, snuggles, and snoozing.  This happy go lucky guy is a professional cuddler who’s more into cozy  mornings than early alarms.  You’ll probably have to wake him up for breakfast!

Archie  is incredibly people oriented and thrives on companionship. Whether  it’s lounging on the couch, going for a walk, or striking a goofy pose,  he brings joy and love to every moment. Don’t let his laid back vibe  fool you, he’s got an athletic streak and enjoys playtime just as much  as he enjoys nap time.

If you’re looking for someone to clean up what you dropped, Archie is your guy. He’s  very food motivated and always ready to lend a helping paw when snacks  hit the floor. His eagerness to please, paired with his love for treats,  makes him a great candidate for learning new tricks.

    Archie’s favorite activities include:

    • Climbing into your lap and finding the perfect snuggle spot
    • Following you from room to room like your squishy little shadow
    • Snoring like a tiny tractor while curled up beside you
    • Spreading joy with his goofy grin and loving personality

Archie  would prefer to be the only dog in the home, he’s a total attention hog  (in the best way!) and wants to soak up all the love for himself. And  hey, can you blame him?  He may be able to tolerate another dog with a submissive personality.

Archie is the lap dog of lap dogs and is looking for a forever home where he  can share his gentle nature, quirky smile, and endless affection. If  you're searching for a loyal companion who will stick by your side (and  possibly hog the blankets), Archie just might be your perfect match

    The Basics...

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted.  Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above.  Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications.  All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes.  Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters.  Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.

All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.

We typically will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks, but we do notify all applicants of the outcome.
