Bonjour! I'm Francesca Merci, but you can call me Frankie!
I'm a two-year-old French bulldog with a heart as big as the Eiffel Tower and a love for life that's as vibrant as a Parisian Café. I'm a bit of a stage one clinger because I jadore being close to my humans. If you're sitting down, you can bet I'll be right there, touching you like a true French companion. I'll even breathe the breath you breathe - I promise!
I have a blast with chew toys and bones and get these fun bursts of energy where all I want to do is play. My foster sisters are a bit older and don't appreciate my energetic ways. :(
In case you are too embarrassed to ask about the distasteful aspects of doggies, I'm potty trained so no messes for me! I even signal by standing by the door. I do sleep in my kennel at night, but I go in it begrudgingly as I would MUCH rather snuggle with my people in a big comfy bed.
I dream of being in a home with a fenced yard where I can run and play to my heart's content. I'm tres curious about the bunnies and squirrels in my foster yard, so I think a home without cats would be best for me. But I would absolutely love to have other fur siblings, especially if they like to play as much as I do!
If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who will always be by your side, I am your girl. I can't wait to meet you. If all of these sounds perfect, all you need to do is say qui qui, and fill out an app.
While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.
We typically will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks, but we do notify all applicants of the outcome.
