Meet Gemma: Pocket-Sized Sass, Big-Time Heart
Gemma is a year-and-a-half old merle French Bulldog who packs enough charm into her tiny frame to power a whole city block. She’s adorable, a little spicy, and absolutely convinced that the universe revolves around her… and honestly, she may be onto something.
This girl is a stage 5 clinger in the cutest way, happiest when she’s orbiting her humans like a devoted little moon. By day, she alternates between high-energy zooms and transforming into a warm, snoozing potato. By night, she’s a championship cuddler who insists on ending the day tucked right beside her favorite people.
Gemma has a clean bill of health, is fully vetted, and even had BOAS surgery. She once snored like a helicopter preparing for liftoff, but now she just hums with a soft, polite snuffle.
She’s potty trained, but believes doggy doors are beneath her royal status. She’s also a picky princess eater who expects her staff (you) to add something tasty to her meals. She’ll repay you with adoring stares and tiny dramatic sighs.
With other dogs, Gemma is delightful—playful, social, and fun—but she does enjoy being the main character. She’d thrive in a family who appreciates her sparkle, celebrates her quirks, and doesn’t mind a loyal shadow following them from room to room.
If you’re looking for a small Frenchie with a huge personality and a heart that loves hard, Gemma is ready to become your daily joy.
Gemma: cute, clingy, and completely unforgettable.
While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.
We typically will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks, but we do notify all applicants of the outcome.
