A Bit More About Hazey J

Hi! My name is Hazel Joy aka Hazey J. My doctor thinks I am around 4 years old. I spent my younger years having babies, but as of today, I am spayed and heart worm negative! My doctor said that I am a "dream" bulldog! Let me tell you a little about me:

I have been living with my foster mom and dad and all my fur brothers and sisters. I want to be with you all the time.  I do not like my kennel. (It stresses me out). I do ok in it, but I will try and escape if I can.  My teeth are kinda worn down and I had one pulled yesterday. Anyway, I have 2 fur brothers and 2 fur sisters of the K9 variety. I also live with a couple cats. I don't pay them any mind.  I am great with all people and kids of all ages. I often go to work with mom and she works with the elderly, and they love me.  I am 24 pounds and simply gorgeous. I do not lick and I only bark if I am in my kennel and I can hear people or my brothers or sisters.  I am working on potty training. I do not go in my kennel. I do well if I am let out regularly and told to "go potty". I do have occasional accidents...I am still learning ya' know.  I love to chew, so having Nyla bones is a must.  I am the definition of a "Velcro pup". I want to be next to you, if at all possible. I sleep at the foot of mom's bed! I eat twice a day, but I don't have a very big appetite.I sometimes get a little protective of my food, not aggressive, but I will tell my siblings to back off, if I haven't finished my meal.  I love cuddles and scratches. I ride in the car like a dream.  Not to brag, but I am the perfect family pup. I am hoping to find my forever home very soon.  Hope to hear from you, love, Hazey J

    The Basics...

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted.  Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above.  Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications.  All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes.  Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters.  Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.

All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.

We typically will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks, but we do notify all applicants of the outcome.
