All About Nera

Nera rejoined Lucky Bulldogs Rescue at no fault of her own.  She was happy to see her former Foster Ma, but she'd rather have a forever family of her very own!  Let's hear a little more from Nera herself.

Hi! I am the loveable and kissable Nera!! Hope you don't mind big wet tongues, cuz I love to give you all the kisses right on your face! Running around and playing with toys is a favorite of mine.  Please make sure they are tough, as I like to chew, chew, chew on them. My name has become something I am learning to listen to, and I think it sounds pretty. Running around in the yard is something I like too, and this cold, white stuff falling out of the sky?? Wow, it tastes good!!! You should try to give it a lick sometime!! 

While I like my foster brothers (a Frenchie and a Papillon), I don't know the best way to share the toys. I keep them to myself because I've never had toys before!  However, I'm sure that with time, I will learn to share and play with my new family, should my new family have other puppers. Cats are foreign to me, but I've been open with pups, maybe I can be with cats too. Kids are great!! My foster family has lots of them running around with their daycare. I like to give them all the kisses, too. HEHE!! 

My kennel has been my safe space at night, and I can hold my potties all night long!! GO ME! I have had a couple of accidents inside, but I've gotten better and know the door lets me outside. With time and routine, I know I can learn to go outside all the time!

I would love to make an imprint on my forever family and live my days in happiness!! I would give all the love and have all the fun! If that sounds fun to you, let's do the dang thing. I can't wait to meet you!!

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted.  Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above.  Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications.  All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes.  Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters.  Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.

All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages. 

We typically will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks, but we do notify all applicants of the outcome.
