    A Bit More About Summer

Meet Summer: Professional Daddy's Girl Seeking Her Forever Dog Dad

    Hello, future Dog Dad!

Are you looking for a tiny shadow with four legs, enormous ears, and absolutely zero respect for personal space? Well, congratulations... Summer has been looking for you too.

Summer  is a 7-year-old, 21-pound fawn French Bulldog whose greatest life  ambition is to convince one special man that she belongs permanently in  his lap. If you happen to sit down, she considers that an invitation. If  your lap is already occupied, she'll simply launch herself aboard  anyway. If you walk away? Don't worry, your adorable little stalker is  right behind you.

To put it simply... Summer is absolutely smitten  with her foster dad. Foster Mom is... acceptable. She provides snacks,  meals, and treats, which earns her a respectable second-place ranking.  But if Foster Dad walks into the room? Sorry, lady. Summer has important  cuddling to attend to.

Summer's early years weren't the easiest.  She began life in a commercial breeding facility before eventually  becoming someone's pet. Sadly, after that, only the gentleman in the  home truly adored her. While he worked long hours, Summer spent much of  her day kenneled, and because the women in the household weren't fond of  her, she missed out on the love and freedom every dog deserves.

The  good news? She's discovering that women can actually be pretty  wonderful too, especially when they arrive carrying cheese. She may take  a little longer to warm up to the ladies, but with kindness (and  strategic snack distribution), she's learning to trust and love.

Because  of her history, Summer is campaigning hard for a forever home with a  devoted Dog Dad who will spoil her with cuddles, let her supervise all  household activities, and never question why she's suddenly materialized  in his lap.

    Her dream benefits package includes:

    *Unlimited lap privileges

*Bed-sharing rights (she'd really prefer to retire from kennel life forever)
    *Daily cuddle sessions

*A human who understands that personal space is simply a suggestion

Summer  has adjusted beautifully in foster care. She had a few potty accidents  while learning her new routine, and like many dogs from commercial  breeding backgrounds, she initially tried to "claim" the fluffy dog beds with a bit of marking. With consistency and routine, she's continued  making great progress.

She gets along well with other dogs and  enjoys their company, but she'd also be perfectly content as your one and only princess. After all, sharing your dad's lap isn't always ideal.  Summer  isn't looking for perfection. She's looking for someone who sees past  her past and into the sweet, loyal little heart that's been waiting far  too long for her happily ever after.

If you've been searching for a faithful sidekick, a professional cuddle consultant, and a tiny Frenchie who will adore you like you're the greatest thing since squeaky toys... Summer is ready to make your house feel like home.

Apply today and give this sweet Daddy's Girl the forever family she's been dreaming about.

    The Basics...

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted.  Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above.  Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications.  All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes.  Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters.  Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.

All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.

We typically will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks, but we do notify all applicants of the outcome.
